What a week its been

Its hard to believe that 5 years have passed since the September 11 terrorist attacks. I really like this picture that was published in an English newspaper as its simple yet makes a big impact.

What a full on week it has been! Started work last Monday at my 'new' job (which I have been doing informally for the last few months anyway). Walked into the staff room before 8am to overhear the English builders chatting away about Steve Irwin and that stingray. Then a few days later and its Peter Brock!

Took Renae on Wednesday night to see a play in Leicester Square called 'The Vegemite Tales'. It was her goodbye present as she is going home when she gets back from her Contiki (I also got a message published to her in the back page of the TNT, major life achievement in itself). The play is based on a share house in London full of Australians and deals with all the issues/jokes you experience living over here. Blair from Neighbours and BB played one of the main characters in the play and was surprisingly good!

Ran into Sam from my Contiki on Friday night because he's moved into a place 5 minutes down the road from me! He's living with a couple of other friends from Melbourne who I also met when travelling (they were doing another Contiki and we ran into them in Athens & Mykonos). Went to check out his place after seeing them all at The Elk, nice house but not as nice as ours ;-) He's having his housewarming soon so it'll be nice to go to a party and be able to walk home in 5 minutes!

Oh and Mum arrives on Thursday! Can't believe how quickly its come around, but I guess the last few months have been so full on that time has flown. So this time next week I will be in Paris (what a tough life I have)! We're staying a few streets away from the Eiffel Tower, planning on a little sightseeing and a lot of shopping. We may also rent a car and drive to Wales and places like Bath and Windsor on the way back one weekend. Also getting up at 5am to go and watch the AFL grand final because we never miss it!

Still have more photos to put up, I keep getting new ones from everyone else and I'm trying to organise them...not easy when there's about 700!

Hey Michelle!!

Sorry not been typing much, so busy with uni and work.

Well finished my 4week prac in Kalgoorlie - whoa what an experience, I take my hat off to Narelle!! Had an awesome time living with Narelle again! But its back to reality and the lonley house I live in now!

Uni sucks (but you know that) only 5 weeks then I'm a 4th Year I cant believe it! My plan-for now-is to relief work and hairdressing for 6mths then follow in your footsteps and head overseas, UK or Canada, but as we all know me this may change haha!!

Thanks for my text last saturday! I was gonna call you but didn't know if you'd be watching (STUPID ME) Go eagles!!

You trip sounded amazing, it bought back so many memories for me. It has been 7 years since i went and I still remember every day - it's awesome!!

Went to The Boy From Oz with Narelle last sunday - fantastic, Hugh Jackman is so awesome!

well nothing too exciting happening here so I'll get back to my essay...ha yeah right!!

Take care, miss you xxx
