What sound does an elk make?
I'm back at the internet cafe checking out some more listings for places in Fulham. Hopefully though I won't need them as I'll get a call tonight from a house I looked at on Saturday and say I have the room! Keep your fingers and toes crossed for me! Its a perfect room in a perfect house with 3 other Aussies who are all from Perth, which makes it even better. Trying not to get my hopes up about it, but its just down to me and someone from Sydney (boo hiss).
Went out on Saturday night to a bar in Fulham called The Elk - www.elkbar.com - which was really cool. They played the kind of music you get in bars/clubs back home and there were heaps of Aussies there. Sunday went out for lunch in Richmond with Renae and her flatmate Emma. I'm supposed to be going into the city today but think I'll leave it till tomorrow as I have to buy some groceries/basic necessities after I finish here. I've got 5 minutes left so I had better make this quick! I have a new mobile, will SMS everyone back home with the details today. Thanks for the messages in the blog guys, will reply ASAP!

I'd forgotted to check your blog to see how you're doing, but I'm glad I did - because it is SUCH a small world.
I was totally at that same house on Wednesday that you were - the lovely new one on Fulham Palace Rd. I'm guessing that makes it you that I was talking to in the kitchen with the girl who was looking for people. Man, that's so weird!
Did you end up getting that place? I haven't had a call so assume I didn't which is a bummer cause it was so fantastic!
If you didn't good look with checking out more places! I'm finding it hard to find ones that I like the sound of in my budget and in the places I want to live.
On top of that, i'm also job hunting! But at least I have relatives to stay with.

A big thud as it hits the front of your car followed by "oh shit" as it comes through the windscreen - they have a much higher centre of gravity than a roo, so you really, really don't want to hit one unless you are driving a semi or a huge American SUV. Along with squillions of deer they're a big problem here in northwest Colorado.
