Our Christmas Tree

One of my favourite things to do at Christmas is decorate the tree at home (Perth), so when I found out that Mum & Dad had thrown out our tree and replaced it with some hideous half-metre fibre optic thing...I wasn't happy!

Our (London) house had planned on getting a real Christmas tree but we've all been so busy with other things that we just haven't gotten around to it. So the other night when I got home from my work party, I found a few of the housemates around the kitchen table having a few glasses of wine and discussing Christmas at home and how we don't have a tree. Anyway on the table was something else, some vegetables that one of the girls and her Mum had bought earlier in the day. Her Mum couldn't stop laughing at the branch of bussel sprouts and then we got inspired...the result was our new Christmas tree!

Merry Christmas!

PS: Decorated by yours truly!

Love your ingenuity with the Christmas Tree. Got your lovely Christmas card on Friday before Christmas (isn't it always the way it goes), I included you on the card to mum, dad and Lee.
Anyway Mum will probably fill me in on your working holiday. A belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you. Happy and safe travels and love from The Whelans in Darwin.
